Tandems: £25 per day. £40 weekend (Fri-Sun) £60 per week (Mon-Sun)
Child trailers or cargo trailers: £10 per day. £15 weekend (Fri-pm -Sun-pm) £35 per week (Mon-Sun).
We can supply everything you need to cycle safely & enjoy the unspoilt countryside of North Essex, Dedham vale, historic Colchester Town, Maldon, Harwich and Clacton on sea, either for just the day or for a whole week.

We are located near the Colchester, North railway station with easy access to the major cycling routes throughout the Stour valley. Dedham Vale, Colchester, Braintree, Maldon, Manningtree, Harwich, Walton and Clacton on sea.
We can deliver and collect from any hotel or guest house in the Colchester area *

Collection and return to our stores is by appointment only.
National Route 51 is open between Colchester & Harwich Harwich. A traffic-free spur of Route 51 is also open between Jaywick and Frinton-on-Sea through to the Clacton-on-Sea seafront. For some fantastic routes may we suggest you visit The Sustrans website (click here).

1, Cycling North: Cross Highwoods country park, through to Ardleigh, Dedham, Flatford (trip difficulty 5/10)
2, For an Eastern route: Cross Highwoods country park, through Ardliegh towards Manningtree, Harwich, to Frinton, Clacton, Alresford. (Trip difficulty 9-10)
3, Cycle South: From Colchester to Fngeringhoe, Peldon and on to Mersea island via the Strood, tide permitting! (trip difficulty 4/10)
4, West bike route: Via Stanway to Coggeshall, Kelvedon and on to Tiptree, over to Abberton reservoire, Blackheath and through Colchester. (Trip difficulty 7/10)
For easy and less demanding bike ride you may wish to stay in Colchester & visit the Castle and all it's hidden gems.
Bikes, tandems, family bikes, kiddies ride alongs, child bike seats, kids trailers and luggage trailers can be collected from our stores near the Colchester North railway station.
We can arrange for them to be delivered and collected FREE from your local hotel - holiday cottage etc or the Priory street car park in the heart of Colchester.
Qualified instructors and examiners (National bicycle proficiency scheme) are available.
*Should you have any problems with your bike: puncture, mechanical failure etc we will be happy to supply a replacement as soon as possible (within the Colchester Borough boundary only)

Cycling should be enjoyable, excellent exercise, pollution free and a cheap way to get from A to B.
Please obey these simple rules and always remember that your safety and the safety of other road users and pedestrians are of paramount importance.
- Before each journey, take a few minutes to give your bike the "pre-ride" check
- Obey the traffic laws and regulations.
- Always wear suitable clothing and your helmet.
- Ride your bike at a speed to suit the terrain and weather conditions.
- Always try to anticipate and expect the unexpected!
- Both hands should handlebars and both feet should be on the pedals.
- Always be in total control of your bike.
- Ride with care and courtesy.
- Look after your bike, ensuring it is always locked securely when not in use.
- Do not Jump or stunt tour bikes.
- Never carry a passenger.
- Bike brakes are designed to stop a bike in a straight line. If you broadside and skid your bike you will damage the rear wheel and tyre and may damage or even brake the frame.
- Never hang items from the handlebars.
- Never use headphones or mobile phones while using a bike.
- Never carry adult (over 14's) passengers in child trailers.
- Never carry "passengers " in cargo trailers.
Please check all our equipment carefully on the commencement of the hire for damage or faults.
Lights are NOT supplied with batteries.
Insurance is not included in our hire service. We advise you to take out your own insurance.
Insurance should include: Theft, third party, accidental damage, personal injury and liability insurance.
Replacement and support is FREE and offered within the Borough of Colchester only*
Replacement and support * outside the Borough is charged at cost to the hirer.
Late returns will be charged at our standard daily charge.
All equipment is offered subject to availability.
